My first call of the day and walked out! One other customer, the landlady yapping on the phone without any acknowledgement of my existence and the teenage barmaid staring intently into space trying not to notice me. Later, due to the bus deciding it wasn’t going to actually stop despite my best efforts, I reluctantly trudged back and got served by a much more enthusiastic young barman. In short; upmarket interior, two rooms with a ‘wraparound’ feel catering to the foody brigade. Pride and Boltmaker were the ales and the latter was actually pretty good (NBSS 3.5). But I’m not forgiving them for the earlier attempt – is that an NBSS 0??

The Old Swan is situated close to the main shopping area.
Once inside there was a lounge to the right which was carpeted and had some leather settees,there was a dining area to the right and a small bar on the left side of the pub.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Taylor Landlord and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Sharps Doom Bar and GK IPA.
This was a decent enough pub to end our crawl in.
