A more basic pub than its village neighbour. Bland interior which has had a going-over since Alan’s review, with dull radio-based music to accompany. A Marstons pub with four pumps though just a fairly good Ringwood Razorback on (NBSS 3.5) alongside very good crusty cobs. Sounded like a pool room out back but I didn’t have time to investigate. Bit of life from the locals and a friendly enough atmosphere meant that it did a bit better than I initially expected. 5.5

The New Greyhound is a Marstons house just round the corner from the Queens Head.When i went in i was surprised to see how unaltered it was it was like going back to a pub in the 50s there were a few handpumps on the bar i had Banks's Mild this was a very good drink,i think its great that there are still pubs like this to be found.
