Made-over Everards pub in a pretty Leicestershire village. Looks decent enough inside (if a bit staid) with red walls, wood panelling, stove fireplace – a carpet would have made a big difference I think. Nicely-done front patio seating to catch the summer sun. Dart board being used with vigour by the locals. Six pumps with three ales on; Tiger (NBSS 4 and flying out, what a difference that can make!), Everards Strong Ale and Grafton Ramesses. Cobs at the bar got my vote and a purchase. Friendly punters in situ and a good atmosphere on a late Sunday afternoon made this one a decent all-rounder.

The Dog and Gun is a decent looking pub in a quiet village we went in the room on the left of the pub this was very busy with pensioners having meals it had the usual range of Everards beers on the bar the Tiger bitter was decent but i was'nt that struck about this pub but dont know why.
