Backstreet place with a basic staple shaped interior. Rather naff two-tone snot green slopped over the woodwork though the baffled leaded glass upper servery survives. Aged pub carpet and amazingly clashing turquoise fabric banquettes for the full ‘will this do?’ effect. Two ales, Adnams Bitter and Bass (NBSS 3). Pool table in a scruffy rear room. Salt of the earth locals who were welcoming enough. 5.5
