Looks good from the outside what with its thatched roof (look out for the hare being chased by a fox!). Sadly, Everards have done a number on the interior which is blandised and a bit gloomy. A good slab of Everards ales on the go, I played safe and went for the Tiger which was very good (NBSS 4). Rated 6.5

A quintessential English pub with a red brick frontage, slate roof and continuing into some thatching. This large Everards pub also retains some good internal features. At the front of the pub you find large oak beams and an oak panelled room. There was also a few open fires, which were in use on our visit. The middle of the pub, you will find the main bar on the LHS, there was a further bar at the front. There was a fairly large open plan kitchen near the main entrance car park side, which was kept busy. This side of the pub was modern in it's deco with contemporary fabrics and wallpaper. Three Everards ales and one guest, we went for the Everards Tighthead.
