The layout of this community local is the same as when AW visited but the main bar area seems more set up for vertical drinking sparsely furnished with a few posing tables and a sofa in one corner. Fortunately the side room, set up for eating, has normal furniture and there we socially distanced alone. I suspect in normal times it would have been a lot busier late on a Friday afternoon.
Full Everards range, cheerfully served and like Alan we had a drink of Beacon which was a nice drink despite the powerful, but understandable, aroma of disinfectant that pervaded the pub.
Fine as a local, but no real reason to call if it isn't yours.

The Blue Bell is a nice looking pub that is in the middle of Stoney Stanton.
Once inside the main bar area was to the right, this was a smart room that had been opened out but had small rooms off it,the main room was L shaped and carpeted and had comfortable bench seating and normal tables and chairs.
This pub is an Everards tied house and there were five real ales on the bar i had a drink of Everards Beacon bitter and this was a very nice well kept pint, the other beers were Everards Tiger bitter, Original and a seasonal called Equinox there was one gusst beer Moorhouses Pride of Pendle.
This was a really nice pub with a very relaxed atmosphere.i would happily come in this pub again.
