Surprisingly large place, unsympathetically modernised with a dark looming green colour on every surface bar the floor making it all rather gloomy on a grey day. Central fire in the main bar at least. Two cask, both Milestone Six Nations ones, my English Pale was clearly the first one out for a fair while (NBSS 2). Repeat football on a big screen to an audience of nil on a Thursday afternoon.

A large grey rendered pub, it goes a long way back from its road frontage with a large dining area at the back. The front section has the main counter with three pulls, one with Milestone Lions Pride the other with a VE Day special from a secretive brewery, rightly so as it wasn’t a good beer. The front is a drinking and seating area in modern style, the rear restaurant has a wood fired pizza oven, this area seems to be an extension while the front may be the original pub. Very different to the pub reviewed 15 years ago by possibly its then owners or their friends.
