Old skool pub, unspoilt to the extent of having a ** CAMRA Heritage listing. Central corridor, room left, main bar right (full to capacity an hour after opening), with the servery partially incorporated, and a pool room. No frills decor and there's the air of gentle dusty shabbiness and untidiness (various boxes and dusty tat dumped in the side room which is where I ended-up) and this room also has an old skool public telephone in it, you don’t see them much any more. Rrrock music from a radio channel for company. Very basic and scruffy rear courtyard. Numerous pumps but just the Bass on, a decent pint if served in a glass that was only for the skip (NBSS 3). It's certainly a charming pub but could do with a bit of Kim & Aggie to reach its full potential.

One of the best pubs around,the best Bass i have tried in years and the atmosphere is great ,always a warm welcome.

This little pub is out of the way but it serves the best pint of bass i have ever tasted.
