Bit of an oddity, a quasi flat-roofer in a nice area. Two rooms; a lounge to right done in varnish, mustard and red with darts and pool in the left room plus Agadoo on the stereo. Live music advertised. Unusually, a ‘weigh yourself’ machine in the gents! Two ales; Abbot and an iffy proper Job (NBSS 1.5) that didn't clear. Friendly, if dour, landlady. Feels a bit lost in here - who is trying to appeal to? Everybody and nobody on this showing. A bit more care on the cask might get the locals in who otherwise will simply walk the extra 10 minutes into town.
