Everards pub facing a roundabout. There's three rooms, two either side of the porch and a further diner off right, an unhappy straddling of local and foody. Unusual decor with an almost Middle Eastern feel to proceedings. Only one teenage girl on trying to do everything who didn't acknowledge the waiting punters, she did however take it with good grace when I gently suggested it might be a useful skill. Three Everards casks, I went for the small batch Gauntlet which was warm and flabby (NBSS 2) as was the Tiger but that was also cardboardy in addition (NBSS 1.5). In fact, I didn't see any other ales poured aside from mine.

The Birch Tree is a nice looking pub that is situated close to a very busy roundabout.
Once inside the pub had three seperate rooms,we had a drink in the bar which was to the left, this was a very smart and comfortable room to have a drink in with comfy bench seats and small stools this room was carpeted, there was a larger lounge to the right which was very smart with an olde world feel to it,there was a seperate pool room the the rear.
This pub is an Everards tied house and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Everards Tiger bitter which was a very nice drink the other beer was Everards Original.
I really liked this pub and would have happily had a good session here if not on a pub crawl.
