Brainy Pool left this review about Plough & Harrow
Typical northern redbrick pub in the middle of the village which has benefited from a recent refurbishment and the lack of decent competition nearby. It’s a very comfortable, plush affair in the main lounge with a second room more boisterous and containing a pool table. Four real ales on, it’s a Thwaites pub with their IPA and Wainwrights plus Farmers Blonde and Hobgoblin Gold. Not the world’s most exciting selection but it pleases the regulars. Sat in the lounge and enjoyed the banter from the mainly elderly clientele. this is a good local and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in the GBG.
