The Hindley Arms is L-shaped with seating across the front windows that are faced by the long length of the L-shaped bar counter. The four hand pumps were all unused which left a standard and premium keg selection alongside Beavertown’s Neck Oil. In the left front is a small DJ booth, karaoke is advertised for Friday and Sunday evenings. Thankfully there was no more than some background music playing during a recent Thursday evening visit. The locals were playing pool on the table in the right rear where they had also taken up all the high tables that run up the right-hand wall. A dartboard is also found in this section. The service was polite, but I was glad I’d only ordered a half.

ROB Camra left this review about Hindley Arms
Supposed to be the premier real ale pub in Hindley. Well you could have fooled me. A one roomed, grey and magnolia painted barn, modernised to within an inch of its life. I really didn't take to it at all. There are loads of screens, a couple of which are huge, there's also a dartboard. The barmaid was disinterested to say the least and the beer choice was worse. Four handpumps with one reserved for cider. The other three had GK IPA, Marston's 61 Deep and a Hophurst beer which was OK, although I'm not a fan of the brewery. There's a small CAMRA discount, but I can't remember how much it was. Wouldn't bother with this one if I visit Hindley again.
