after a change of management, Thwaites have now taken tighter control here and the guest beers have gone. Their own Gold and Original on the bar, the latter was an excellent pint at least.

a tucked away neighbourhood pub, it has the appearance of a backstreet local from outside. To the left is a small public bar with a couple of TVs and basic character, this filled up with locals. the remainder is pretty much dedicated to dining. Food does encroach into the bar too. A couple of local ales on despite being a Thwaites pub. Very friendly locals.
