A small, set back from the road boozer on what would have been the old London Road back in the day. A classic L-shape internally with the bar facing the entrance a darkish-red carpet, dark wood half-height panels, leather banquette seating, chipped and scuffed tables, bar stools and three TV screens: one on, showing Sky News on mute. A quizzer, jukebox and fruit machine were other forms of entertainment, which were probably worth it as it was about as entertaining as a morgue on my Monday evening visit and to compound matters, a pint of Brakspear (it was either that or Abbot Ale) was charged at the extortionate price of £4.40. That's £4.40 for a 3.4% ABV session bitter. At least it was in decent shape...
