Many years ago I used to play in the backyard of this pub as a mate of mine lived here. Forty years on it hasn't changed that much really except that there are new toilets and a pool room where the old toilets were. The main area is one thin room with the pool room to the left. On the right was a DJ rig that looked like it was set up for karaoke. To the rear there's a beer yard with some bench seating and an outhouse with some steps. This is where I saw my first "Slinky Spring". These days this is a keg only house and so I had a half of fizz. It's a proper workingmans local and was very sweary when I visited on a Friday, late afternoon. I'm not likely to visit again for a while, but it serves the local community well.
