Referred to as Tilly's, this narrow pub has one room at the front, occupying the width of the building, a sports room with pool and sports on TV at the back and a dining room beyond that. The bar is facing on entry, with four hand pumps on its modern counter. I can't remember if I asked the barman what Tillys Special Ale was and who brewed it (see photo). I think I just went straight for the Tetleys Dark Mild because it's been a long time since I'd seen this beer - probably not since the brewery in Leeds was demolished.
There are leather arm chairs and dining chairs, adding to the modern feel of the rooms. At first I was quite comfortable here, but then it transpired that the juke box was set to play something randomly if no one fed it any coins, which spoiled things a bit for me.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Tillotson Arms
This traditional friendly locals pub is well worth a visit. We called in just as they opened at 12 noon on a Tuesday. A couple of locals were sat at the bar and along with the barmaid and owner, we were made welcome and they engaged us with the local gossip and chat.
The pub consists of a front room and bar and a L shaped rear lounge. The front room has an open fire and an upright piano in tune and is used by the local music society on their get together on Thursday evenings. The rear lounge had an Atari table top arcade machine, which had four games on it, Space Invaders, Galaxian and Pac Man, I can't remember the fourth. Three hand pumps, with two in use serving Copper Dragon Witch Ale and a Hawkshead Bitter. Both were in good shape as the locals round here like their ale.
