Reopened November 2021 as a micropub in the righthand side of the old pub as viewed from the street. It is adjacent to the railway level crossing and Bamber Bridge station.

Situated adjacent to a level crossing at Bamber Bridge on the Preston to Colne line the Lancs and Yorks is named after a battle that was fought at nearby Walton-Le-Dale in 1648 resulting in a victory for the New Model Army.Called in around 3.30pm to dodge the elements and have a swift pint before my train was due,and at first was not sure if the pub was open with the main door only slightly ajar, and on entry the 2 ladies behind the bar also seemed unsure, however after a short tete- a-tete it was declared open. No real ale on the go and thought there might have been an selection of railway memorabilia, but however the beer was ok and the pub served it's purpose but cannot envisage a return trip in the near future.
