Saturday evening in April. Pre-booked party of 14. Excellent service levels from some very cheerful staff even though the place was very busy. We were allotted the side annex (single story building in picture) which was set up with our table and another for 4 but left us with plenty of room in a light and airy room. Food was freshly prepared and we were ravenous by the time starters were out of the way and mains arrived. Portions were quite large and the food hot, dully cooked and very tasty. The menu has most pub favorites although the selection is not as extensive as some establishments. Still we were all able to find something and most peoples ratings were either a 8 or a 9.
there are a couple of deals where you can get two courses for just under a tenner and most of us opted for this with the deserts being tasty if a little on the small side.
However, great pub atmosphere and hearty food enables us to highly recommend spending an evening here if you are in the area.
