Sam Smith’s pub on the edge of the immediate town centre, a beacon of niceness located down a somewhat run-down and sleazy street. Apparently the white paint and render was removed from the exterior in 2015 to restore its original frontage and I must say that was a great decision. A very traditional place inside as you’d expect from the brewery, with the usual dark polished wood, carpet and nice stained glass windows. The curved bar, which the room wraps round, is very attractive. Cask OBB is available so I went for a pint, which was decent (NBSS 3). I really enjoyed it here and it’s quite the oasis. 7.5

a must visit in Preston if you like trad pubs. one of few Sam Smiths outlets in this area, it's a neat and tidy little place that was a peaceful haven on a busy Friday afternoon. a world away from the drinking barns and rough boozers on this street. OBB at £2 a pint and long may it remain so.

A nice little Sam Smiths pub not too far from the huge Twelve Tellers Wethers. While I'm not that big a fan of Sam Smiths beer the drinks in here are fine. Its good to see the contrast between the big (Wetherspoons) and the little (here).

Sam Smith's pub just outside the town centre and is a fine example of a no frills old fashioned boozer. On entry there is a room to the right which has a small hatch for service to the bar and you see that at one stage this was a multi roomed pub. The pub has an attractive wooden curved bar which is just off centre to the right plus 2 coal fires on the go and a fine display of stained glass windows.
Called in around 11-45am on a Wednesday where there was already around 15 mature gents enjoying the inexpensive ales. Worth a visit.
