I was here in Colne before going to a Luton Town game in Accrington, arriving by bus from Skipton at 11:20, taking a few pub photos which I've finally uploaded more than nine years later. I then visited seven pubs before catching a train to Accrington at 14:20, so my notes were between sketchy and non-existent. This was the pub for which they were the most legible and detailed. At the time of my visit there were two entrances of which the door on the right led to the public bar. There was a juke box, and darts and pool. Four hand pumps were on the bar, split between the public and the next door lounge. Beers on then were Moorhouses Blonde Witch and Pride of Pendle, John Smiths Cask and Wells Bombardier Burning Gold. I had a half of John Smiths which cost just £1.40, and was described as being in "good nick".

Decent enough place. Nothing above 4.5% ABV (Moorhouses). Clientele were OK to say it's outside the station. Didn't have time to check out the back room as I was catching a train.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Crown Hotel
Substantial building housing a traditional (although not especially old) inn with quite an attractive façade. Service is available from a large public bar and in a smaller hotel lounge. Four handpumps split between the two bars, with Black Sheep, John Smiths Cask, Tetleys Cask and Pride of Pendle (£2.80) available. Visited during the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival when it was very busy, but I imagine the place is normally rather more sedate.

OK pub on the main road from Colne to Nelson, which i called in Saturday tea time to view the footy results. There was quite a decent crowd in when i arrived, and tried a pint of J W Lees Coronation Street Ale which was not on the best of forms, but it might have been me as i was a little befuddled after attending the Pendle Beer Festival.
