A pretty nice looking pub from the outside and inside is a very traditional old style pub with lots of stained glass windows. Multi-roomed with, at this time, the pool room to the left being seemingly redecorated. Hopefully that will extend to the rest of the place, especially the banquettes that seem to be held together by various shades of duct tape. It looks like its home to tattooed metal fans which isn't too bad cos the background music was mostly guitar solo wankery nonsense. But that maybe just today's visit.

A fine looking pub, with an equally interesting interior. The pub consists of a central mahogany servery, highly glazed Victorian wall tiles and floor mosaic tiles. This is a Marstons house, so Pedigree was the order of the day.

Unspoiled traditional local adjacent to the railway station. On entry you cannot help noticing the mosaic floor, high ceiling, and the green ornate wall tiles. The room to the right boasts a large selection of framed railway photos, plus a very large impressive stained glass feature behind the bar of a swan with a railway engine either side.Although the pub could possibly do with a revamp,a great deal of character would be lost in the process. There was a few cask beers on when i visited with the Marstons Pedigree being the pick of the crop. This pub is certainly worth a visit especially if you have a bit of free time before a train journey.
