This pub has had a major refurbishment and was reopened in May. The interior of this pub is traditional in style and has some nice features. The front of the pub has a lounge area on the right of entrance and a further three smaller lounges on the right, which give the impression of being private, as they have narrow partition entrance doorways. There is an long L shaped bar, which welcomes you with 6 hand pumps. The bar continues into the large rear room, which is mainly set out for dining. The pub has a large outside terrace, which attracts a lot of visitors in the warm weather. The pub total capacity inside and out is 300 people and was full on numerous occasions.
The beer was on the expensive side, I went for the Three B's Doff Cocker and Wickwar Brewing Co Wickwar Gold. The staff here were very welcoming and chatty.
