If you are in the area and looking for good quality, good value food then get yourself here - fast! We were a party of 16 pre-booked on a Saturday evening and although we could not all fit comfortably in the designated place they quickly allowed us to expand. It's a take you table number and order at the bar place and despite being very busy the separate orders were taken and within a shot time the food arrived. In early 2015 the menu has a large 2 main meals for £8.50 section or you can order Giant Grills versions. Many other dishes are available. The quantity on the 2for meals was more than enough for most of the party and when you add a 2for1 on the deserts then it becomes a very reasonable costs. As you can appreciate it get's busy and this Saturday was particularly packed and with the Sunday roast offers I imagine Sunday get's busy as well.
Drinks were usual pub prices but I had Gammon, 2 eggs, chips and peas and a apple crumble & custard all for the bargain price of £6.25. Will definitely visit again when next in the area and heartedly recommend the place to you - a best kept secret by the locals I feel.
