Will Larter left this review about Kettledrum Inn

Named after the winner of the Derby at Epsom Downs in 1861, and the story is that some of the winnings went on building the nearby church. The pub was already standing, and it looks like it's had a pretty expensive refurbishment recently. The publican is very friendly and welcoming. The four hand pumps on the end of the bar counter had only two beers on at the time of my Wednesday lunchtime visit, and I went for a pint of local Reedley Hallows Filly Close Blonde 3.8%, which was very good (NBSS 4, £4.40). This is not just a lunchtime stop for travellers - some of the people sitting near me clearly live nearby.
