Very close to Wexham Park Hospital,and consequently with a very strict requirement to register your car in their car park,this gastro pub has a nesting of small rooms and sections winding around a rambling central island bar.It's rustic but not with much character,large dining tables abound,although there is a beer garden at the front ,back from the road and attractive.You can just enter for a drink,but diners will dominate and I could see no signs of a boozer atmosphere.The single handpump offering a dull Doom Bar (NBSS 2) was in stark contrast to well cooked food .Other beer options were Neck Oil and Guinness but nothing interesting.
I might return to eat but otherwise there is nothing here for ale fans.

Characterful gastropub, nooks and crannies and quite well decorated. Impressive green foliage exterior looks enticing. Two pumps (take some finding) Brakspear Bitter was off leaving an adequate Doom Bar as the solitary choice - why do gastros so often take their eye off the ball at the bar?? Meantime Lager on keg and Sierra Nevada in bottles a much better bet. Less expensive than expected though but otherwise, pretty forgettable.
