Cask Ales are advertised on the front of the Rose & Crown, but all three hand pumps were unused during a recent late midweek afternoon visit. This left standard and premium keg available from the split-level bar counter that runs along the front wall to the right of the entrance. To the left of the entrance is a pool table with some seating behind. To the right rear, faced by the top bar counter is a square seating area and to the right stairs lead down to the bottom bar area where there is a dartboard and a couple of tables on some laminate flooring. These tables can be easily moved at the weekend to make a dance floor for the disco lights to shine upon. Televisions are located throughout and BT Sport is advertised. Most of the walls are covered in brick patterned wallpaper, but some have wooden slats, most likely from old pallets. Out the back is a covered smoking area with a table that had many hours of empty glasses on it. There are also some picnic tables, and a gated children’s play area with climbing apparatus. This isn’t an area I will be visiting again for its selection of pubs.
