The Kings Head is situated in the Deane area of Bolton, west of the town centre. Approached by a lane, it has more the feel of a village local than a town pub.

Inside, there are 3 atmospheric rooms with outdoor drinking areas at the front and rear. Bank Top Flat Cap & Dark Mild are the two regular beers. The guest beer was Drayman's Draught, also from Bank Top.
