UPDATE - the clocks have gone. Doom Bar and Ringwood on last visit in decent shape though can run out at peak times. Real fire it. It's OK but should do better, trades on the diner's view I think.
June 2009
Very expensive place considering a fairly average beer selection (GK IPA, London Pride, Doombar) of middling quality for well over £3p/p. Pub interior is full of clocks. The atmosphere inside is decent enough, a few drinkers among the diners in the view-grabbing conservatory. A lot of work has been carried out on the exterior - it does look quite attractive and the impressive outside decking area, with a nice view towards Hampshire from the left (pub is situated atop a small hillock), is nice on a summer’s day. A bit more effort on the beer front could get this place a few more visits.
