E TA left this review about Fox & Goose

A good wholesome roadside pub that caters for both passers-by and locals, The Fox and Goose was very welcoming and pleasant. The majority of the ground floor has been knocked through into a single large, rambling bar, and there remains a small games room to one side. It is carpeted throughout which gives it a homely feel; this is reinforced by the genuine welcome from the landlord. They do good, cheap food and there are plenty of social events advertised for the locals. TV screens and bench seats make it feel a bit like someone's sitting room, and there is a gaming machine which you don't really notice. Free wifi is available. There is a large car park to the rear, from which the only entrance leads. There was only one ale on, London Pride, which was overpriced. The first pint I had was off, but the landlord was happy to change the barrel with no hesitation at all. It's worth dropping in if passing, but it is mainly a locals' pub.
