Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Rose & Crown
Traditional, if run down, pub in what passes for the village centre serving the surrounding holiday parks and beach. Only the front bar seemed to be open on a Friday lunchtime, but DJ and karaoke events are held in another room. A lot more seating is provided by the numerous black-painted wooden benches out front. No real ale of course, so had a quick John Smith's (£2.00, half) before moving on.

A 1970s seaside pub with no sophistication. There are benches outside from which you can watch the holiday makers getting drunk and fighting. Inside, there is a single bar with functional furniture from which you can watch the locals getting drunk and fighting. A couple of said locals, a man and a woman so presumably a matched pair, were yelling and swearing at each other, but as they left us alone it wasn’t a problem, and we let them get on with it. The barmaid was scary, in every way, and we were greeted with sarcasm and what passes for banter this far from civilisation. There was no real ale on, nor anything on draft that was worth drinking so we settled for over-priced bottles of Newcastle Brown. On departing I was overjoyed to think I never have to come to Leysdown again.
