Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Prince of Wales
Very basic pub with a large but barely furnished front room mostly used for darts when there is no live music on, the bar in a narrower central section and a rear room dominated (but not fully occupied) by the pool table. Still no real ale, so it was a pint of the inevitable John Smiths (£3.80) while I was waiting for a train on a cold November evening (but at least the place was warm).

E TA left this review about Prince of Wales
A long-standing music venue, this Victorian high street pub has changed little in the 40 years since I was last in here (actually playing back then). The front bar, formed from knocking through the two original front bars, has a permanent stage for the music acts, battered seating and an indefinable but nonetheless unpleasant odour. There is another bar behind which now contains a pool table. There is no real ale (apparently no-one buys it any more). I might be tempted to come in for a decent band, but it's unlikely. Maybe in another 40 years.

Strongers . left this review about The Prince Of Wales
The Prince of Wales is a long and thin pub that has a bar in the middle of the right hand wall. At the front of the pub there is a dartboard, plasma screen and fruit machine and at the rear there is a pool table, jukebox and quiz machine. Only standard draught products are available here and I received a decent pint of Guinness from the polite woman that was manning the bar. There is live music every Saturday night and poker every Wednesday from 19:30. There was some background music playing during my visit on Saturday afternoon, but there was little atmosphere as there were only eight other customers and three of them were under ten years old.
I would imagine that this pub is better in the evening, but I didn’t see anything that would have me rushing back again as there are far better pubs a stones throw away.
