A large town pub,busy and lively. The building is ancient but the ground floor rooms have been conjoined to form a single L-shaped bar with the counter in the middle. There are multiple TV screens, a pool table, gaming machines and an atmosphere more like a sports bar than a local. The staff were indifferent, and it didn't feel particularly welcoming. Ale choices were Doombar and Pride, both in average condition. It wasn't particularly busy when we visited, but I imagine it would be heaving during the tourist season or when there is a match on TV.
