Strongers . left this review about The Bat & Ball
The Bat and Ball backs onto Gravesend Cricket Club’s Ground, which was home to Kent County Cricket Club until 1971. In the right-hand side of the pub is a public bar that houses a pool table and seating that runs around the exterior walls. During my recent midweek evening visit a plasma screen in this bar was airing Sky Sports. The focal point of the larger left-hand bar is a central chimney breast upon which was hung a dartboard which was being used by some lively locals. Two plasma screens in this bar were airing muted Sky and BT Sports whilst some music played on the Jukebox. With seating only around the exterior walls there is a lot of standing room which led me to believe that live music may be held here.
A standard keg range was available from the friendly barmaid and I didn’t note any food being advertised. Although boisterous, I found the locals to be hospitable and I would return if in the area when a match is on TV.
