There’s no real ale, and no food, at least when I was in on Wednesday lunchtime. The main room is carpeted, has red plastic upholstered banquette seating, small stools and standard tables. There are some sports related framed prints on then walls, an exposed brickwork fireplace on the left, a TV on the wall showing a muted sports channel, and a large pull down screen in one of the corners, presumably deployed for major sporting events. There is a raised ared pn the right with a few more tables and chairs, as well as a separate room to one side containing a pool table. Some crap music was playing.
This is another locals’s pub with just two or three punters in there during my visit, one of whom only seemed to know a single adjective which he used before every noun. Anyway, this is a reasonably comfortable pub, although a pub with no real ale isn’t going to be my first choice by any means, but if you’re happy to drink fizzy lager then I’m sure that this pub would suit you just fine.
