Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Star
Old-fashioned (in a good way) village pub; no frills, but still offering food, etc. Very traditional furniture and decor in the three small seating / dining areas on slightly different levels, with the compact bar in the centre. I was also pleased to find Harvey's Old (£4.70, but excellent) as well as the usual Sussex Best plus Golden Valley from Rother Valley from three of the five handpumps.

A compact village pub on the High Street in Rolvenden. A low, white washed brick extension opens into the original cottage:bar to one side, open fire and a games room area further back.
Now a freehouse,a bank of five handpumps offered a decent range of beers from Kent and East Sussex, including an American Amber from a new micro based over the border in Brede,Three Legs Brewing.
A fleeting visit on a cold November Saturday midday: I noted that they offered reasonably priced meals and a beer garden out back, though the driving sleet didn't tempt me.I'd not visited before, though we live fairly locally: I'd certainly return.
