The Sydney Arms, Chislehurst

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sydney Arms

Slightly hidden away in a loop of Old Perry Street away from the modern-day main road, you find quite an imposing older building set between mostly later suburban housing. Badging itself as a 'Pub & Brasserie' I was surprised to find a more down-to-earth establishment than I expected, although it was certainly still doing good business with the food on a Sunday lunchtime. The main bar is located in the right-hand half of the building, with a subsidiary counter at each end and a further seating / dining area to the left (with a patio beer garden beyond). High ceilings and semi-modern furniture throughout. Doom Bar, Courage Best (£4.10) and Seafarers available from the various handpumps.
