A roadside Wadworth’s pub which has recently (Summer 2022) been refurbished by new owners. There is parking at the roadside, though the marked slots are, it would seem, too narrow for a reasonably-sized 4WD. There is more parking at the side. Also at the side is a small covered smoking area and a seating area. There is further seating at the front between the parked cars and the building. Inside, a large L-shaped bar with parquet flooring, which is conjoined with a second bar area at the side. At the other end is a dining area. Food is standard pub grub, though a bit on the pricey side for the area, clearly aimed at passing trade. The atmosphere wasn’t particularly convivial, and some of the other clientele were rather boorish. As we arrived the 6X went off, leaving Henry’s, Swordfish and Horizon on offer. I had the Horizon, which was in good condition. It’s not remarkable, but it’s good enough for a pitstop and it’s pleasing to see it open again.
