Quinno _ left this review about The Boat House
A lovely blue painted building with stunning panoramic views of the Solent. Inside is a chic modern gastro, decorated in red and quite tasteful if not exactly pubby. Note outside in the corner of the front patio are a set of mini representations of the main cast list of Dad’s Army. Three ales on; Goddards Scrum (decent nick), Doom Bar and Ringwood. Also stocked the IoW made gin and Luscombe soft drinks, so a bonus tick there, Mrs Quinno was very happy. Downsides were that it was ludicrously expensive (£8.60 for a pint and a single G&T) and that they put us off ordering food by making a right hash of our neighbour’s order. If you’re walking between Ryde and Bembridge on a sunny day this is worth a stop but it isn’t anywhere near a destination pub. 5.5

Graham Coombs left this review about Battery Hotel
Formerly the Battery Hotel, has been completely gutted and modernised as primarily a restaurant in the typical modern way, with slate floors, trendy wooden tables etc. Lacks any real atmosphere, although does have some real ale.
