Quinno _ left this review about Crown & Horns
Opposite the other village pub, the Crown & Horns is the more modern and upmarket of the two. Quite an eye-catching exterior. Plenty of Country Life-esque interior touches around the island bar, with some nice separated areas too. Pleasing colour scheme of rouge and beige, a modern distressed tiled floor, feature fireplace and a mix of seating. As is the norm in this bit of Berkshire, equine prints abound on the walls. To the rear is a decent patio area. All quite well-done I thought. Quiet on Sunday evening, only about four other people, the good burghers of East Isley were all playing bingo at the Swan. Three ales on: Black Sheep, White Horse Village Idiot and a super drop of TT Landlord, best I’ve had for a while. Barman was a bit of a posh plonker, he probably had a fag to tie his shoelaces at school. Anyway I was expecting to take a dislike to this place but I was wrong – it was a nice little stop and I’d happily pop back.
