This is a small hotel bar in what feels a little like an underground location but is actually at the front of the hotel on the ground floor overlooking the Esplanade and bus station. It is nicely furnished and has a cosy feel. The bar staff are efficient and welcoming. Food is sometimes available depending on the season and day of week. In the winter I wouldn’t depend on it. The Royal Esplanade Hotel is owned by Planning Solutions Ltd who also own the Heritage Brewing Company. This explains why Masterpiece and other HBC beers are regularly on tap in Harry’s Bar. I’ve always thought the beers are okay but not in prime condition. However they are still better than most offerings in Ryde. Probably my favourite pub/bar in Ryde.

An old-fashioned rectangular lounge bar in a slightly tired hotel on the seafront, with sea views (if you can see past the buses, trains and hovercraft). It has own entrance to the left of the building. I was quite surprised to find a couple of Heritage Brewing Company beers labelled on the handpumps in the shape of Charrington IPA and Masterpiece, but sadly they were out of use at the time. I will have to revisit and see what they replace them with if HBC closes.
