Peter Forster left this review about The Falcon

A large pub in a residential area 10 minutes walk from Ryde town centre. The Falcon once sat opposite the County Hospital and was full of doctors and nurses most evenings. The hospital closed around 1993 but the pub manages to carry on where all the other ones in the neighbourhood have long since gone. It has two bars, front and back, they are neat and tidy with televisions showing sport and piped music is playing. Very much a local’s place but the landlord was friendly and welcoming. Sadly they gave up on real ale a few years ago and only the usual fizz is available. If you are in that part of town and don’t mind lager or cider it’s worth popping in for a chat

Graham Coombs left this review about The Falcon

An averagely pleasant community pub, the last survivor at the top end of town. Two bars with one side featuring pool, darts and a DJ position plus a couple of sports screens, the other a more-tabled lounge. There is a large garden at the rear. Despite Cask Marque listing draught ales were restricted to London Pride and Doom Bar, although the former had run out.
