Located at the end of a small parade of shops in an estate, this is an (obviously) estate pub which has had a lick of paint and signs outside proudly proclaim it is family-friendly. Entering into a glass hallway, a door to the right takes you into the pub with a small rectangular, carpeted area to the right with a steel carvery server at the back and old photos of Welwyn on the walls. The bar is L-shaped and serves this area along with the rest of the bare-boarded room which rises up a couple of steps, splitting the remainder of the room into two. A pool table is located here opposite the bar. No real ale - a half of Birra Moretti was £2.05 for a half. There's a smoking area outside to the left (you walk past a Function Room to the right) which offers some respite from the overloud TV screen inside. Looks good from the outside (a recent lick of paint) but I'd only suggest a visit if you're a completest.
