A late 20th Century estate pub with a huge outside terrace, mainly catering for the local housing estate. Just off the main drag, it's a good place for the more civilised local residents to enjoy. The single large bar has a glass divider separating a laminate floored area with a pool table from a carpeted area with a dartboard. There are tv screens both sides, and gaming machines are also dotted around. The staff are very friendly, and the locals are best described as 'calm'. It was noticeable that both English and Polish were being spoken. The upper storey of the building is used to run a pizza delivery service, which is part of the same business as the pub. The only ale on was Courage Best, which was disappointing. It's a good enough local, but I don't see myself shooting back here.

Pretty rough and ready estate pub which surprised me as I always thought the Carpenders Park estate was the posh side of the track, with South Oxhey on the other. It’s a decent enough pub though with a pool table and Sky TV. Advertises ’traditional ales’ but they only had Courage best which was OK. Just a few minutes walk from Carpenders Park Station.
