Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Jolly Fisherman
Although a McMullens house, it has no obviously branding on the exterior. Inside, the two bars have a bright appearance due to the light shade of wooden furniture. Gives the impression of being well managed. Cask and Country (£3.25) available on handpump. Close to St Margarets railway station.

McMullens tied house with an L shaped interior and the bar directly infront of the entrance.Although the pub features a lot of food, many locals use it just to drink in,especially around the bar and in the section to the right of the front door, which also has a fruit machine. To the left of the bar is a larger dining area with a real fire which improves the atmosphere.Sadly there are no direct views of the River Lea from the pub,but as Steve says below, the green is a great place to sit around and enjoy the river activity on a fine day.
Two handpumps with acceptable Cask and Country on during my trip ,and the food is standard pub grub a la Brakes Bros. There is a small exterior terrace by the car park but this is mainly used by smokers.

The best thing about this pub is the superb location on the side of the River Lee and is an excellent stop off if cycling or walking along the River side to Ware. It is a McMullens pub with two clean and airy bars. There is an undercover garden section out the back by the car park but then a large green area which goes down to the river side. It is not clear if this is part of the pub grounds or not, but there does not seem to be any problems taking your drinks over to sit by the river to watch the world and his wife go by. The Ales are the normal Country and AK which tend to be OK. Have not eaten here but plenty of people seem to especially on a Sunday for the roasts on offer.
