Has been closed for a few months ago now and whilst at first there were signs of a refurbishment there doesn't seem to have been any activity for a while now.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Duke Of Marlborough
Solid-looking, unspoilt pub retaining a traditional twin room layout. Quite dark decor in both lounge and public bars, the latter - with a limited amount of basic furniture - being the busier when I visited. Darts board. Regular live music advertised. So far, so good, but all four pumps in each bar had their clips - which included Doom Bar, Tribute and Landlord - reversed, and the less-than-helpful explanation tendered by the young lady behind the bar was that they had "run out". Visit partly saved by there being some bottled ales - including GK IPA, Pride and Tribute (all at £3.50) - in the fridge. Hopefully I just caught it on a bad day, as it looks like it should be a decent pub (and thus may deserve a higher rating than I was able to give it).
