Bucking Fastard left this review about Hand & Crown
The main building is of some age with a sympathetic extension ,the entrance is from the carpark into a corridor with a narrow entrance to the interior. To the right a low ceiling and several beams and wooden uprights and a small bar.Fairy lights as decoration but all tables set for dining. No bar stools to plonk yourself on,if you want to just drink you will have to ask at the bar if there are any unbooked tables and for how long, otherwise it's into the garden with it's pic nic benches.Even the pods out here are set for diners.
To the left of the interior is an extension dining room with the two sections either side of a double aspect inglenook which no longer functions.Light ,mindless muzak .
Two handpumps with just St Austell Tribute being served ,NBSS Good. The food is decent pub grub with mains hovering around £18 ,although smaller sized portions are available and the lunchtime menu is simpler and around £15 for a main.My minted lamb wrap and chips was pretty good.
There were some punters just drinking ,best avoid peak meal times in what in reality is a restaurant in a pub building, there is no boozer atmosphere.
