Situated on a bend on a hilly road out of Kings Langley, and with a history well-described on WhatPub, this is a locally and bare floorboarded one-roomer with an L-shaped bar occupying the right-hand corner on entry. The bare-wooded bar offered Doom Bar and an iffy Adnams Southwold Bitter at £1.70 a half out of three available handpumps. The most interesting aspect was a remnant of the past as a former bar counter is still extant and isolated on the right-hand side of the room opposite a fire exit door which once would have been an entrance: it now serves as a high table with accompanying stools. Most pubs would have removed this, but it serves as a strange reminder of the past...
