A conversion to a fully fledged gastro pub with a lounge on entering with sofas and smart chairs and a small bar to the right with two handpumps serving Doom Bar and Woodforde's Wherry as a guest,in good order.This is the drinking area while to the left past a double aspect brick fireplace is a smart dining area with rustic furniture and french windows leading to a sizeable,well tendered garden.To the right of the bar are immaculate loos and a further dining room with "library" wallpaper and more views over the garden.
The food is the main draw with some light bites and pub staples around £10,but most starters are £6,mains around £15,deserts £6.The quality was very high and I felt justified the premium pricing.
Not one for the pub traditionalist,but very good at what it does .I shall be back.
