The three ales available on my recent visit were Timothy Taylors Golden Best, Fullers London Pride and Sharps Doom Bar. While it would be good to see a more adventurous selection, the pint of Golden Best that I had was in good condition so I shouldn't really complain. This is a fairly ordinary two roomed local, without the pretensions to history of the other surviving pubs on the old High Street. There is a very old stone fire place in the room on the right, which is probably 18th century if it's as old as the building, but nothing else of much interest is to be seen.

Traditional two bar pub both reached from a single central entrance. The right hand saloon bar has the real ales, three I think including Doom Bar at £3.10. Good service and friendly locals. The left hand bar has a large TV and a raised area at the back with a bookcase and a couple of sofas. There's nothing that makes it really stand out but as a steady pub to enjoy a coule of pints in I liked it.

Good traditional pub that is in the old part of town and away from the concrete jungle that is just down the road.Has two separate bars with 3 real ales on and very friendly staff.
