Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Oddfellows Arms
The Oddfellows Arms was my final stop of an evening's crawling around Harpenden. It ended up being the best of a bad bunch. This was another busy town centre pub and suddenly the potential reason for all of the pubs being so busy became apparent. The Zombies were appearing at the nearby Eric Morecambe Centre. I hadn't even realised that Eric Morecambe had lived for much of his life in Harpenden.
A few of the customers in the Oddfellows Arms were having a pre-gig pint and meal in here. But I still managed to find a small table next to the bar. The pub is fairly open-plan, but split into two sections. One to the left of the entrance seemed more suited for diners, with a slightly more cosy area to the other side of the bar. There is also a large patio/garden to the side/rear of the pub which looked a nice place for a drink in warmer months.
4 real ales were on - Brewpoint Charlie Wells DNA, St Austell Tribute, Fuller's London Pride & Timothy Taylor Boltmaker. My DNA was one of the better beers I'd had during the day in Hertfordshire.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Oak Tree
Nice looking Charles Wells pub overlooking a small green, far enough away from the main road traffic and High Street shops to give the place the feel of a village pub. Decent pint of Bombardier, with Youngs Ordinary and Adnams Broadside on the other handpumps.
